Socks production process
Overall logic of the sock production process
Raw material selection: Choosing the right material is the basis for producing high-quality socks.
Knitting: Use a sock machine to knit the raw materials into socks.
Sewing: Sewing the toe of the sock.
Shaping and packaging: Shape and package the stitched socks and prepare them for shipment.
Raw material selection
Main materials: Including various types of fibers (natural fibers such as cotton, linen, wool, silk, synthetic fibers such as nylon, polyester, etc.).
Secondary materials: Elastic fibers, such as spandex, are used to increase the elasticity and comfort of socks.
Auxiliary materials: Elastic bands are used to shrink the sock openings, and jacquard yarns are used to increase the beauty of socks.
Knitting
Single-needle sock machine: Used to knit socks. The sock openings are completed on the ribbing machine and then transferred to the sock machine needle to continue knitting.
Folding sock machine: Automatically start and fold the socks to form a flat double-layer sock opening, and then continue to knit each section of the sock blank.
Double-needle sock machine: The upper and lower needle cylinders work simultaneously to knit the ribbed sock opening and each section of the sock blank.
Sewing
Manual stitching: Through the pure manual method of workers, the sock head part is pierced one needle at a time onto the disc-mounted needle disc for sewing. The advantage is that there is no joint in the toe part, which is smooth and comfortable, but the production capacity is low.
Machine sewing: Sewing using a disc machine or computer machinery is more efficient, but it needs to undergo strict quality control.
Fixing and packaging
Fixing: The sewn socks need to go through the shaping process to ensure the stability of shape and size.
Drying: The shaped socks need to be naturally dried for 48 hours.
Inspection and packaging: The socks are fully inspected, and they are packaged after passing the inspection, and are packed according to the product number and color.
