Mercerized cotton has good gloss, smooth feel and is not easy to wrinkle. This material is more used to make women's clothing or Underwear, and is not common in socks;

Combed cotton is more delicate and belongs to the better quality of cotton. Combed cotton socks also have a smooth and comfortable feel and are suitable for both men and women. Compared with mercerized cotton, it has better thickness, so it is suitable for wearing in all seasons, especially in spring and autumn.

Everyone knows wool socks. Take natural wool as an example. It has good warmth retention, but wool products are expensive. Because of the good warmth retention of wool itself, wool socks are generally suitable for winter wear. Although the so-called "wool socks" on the market contain wool, the content is not necessarily high. Generally speaking, the wool content is only about 10%, and there may even be a situation where the main fabric is not wool but spandex. Therefore, you must be careful when buying wool socks.

Chemical fiber materials can be mainly divided into polyester fibers (polyester) and fibers made from natural materials (such as bamboo fibers). Generally speaking, the former is inferior to the latter in terms of breathability, dyeability and anti-pilling. Modal, a popular chemical fiber material recently, is actually natural cellulose. It is actually a regenerated fiber extracted from beech wood. However, because modal feels cool and comfortable to wear, it is generally used to make underwear, autumn clothes and other close-fitting clothing. Modal socks are more suitable for summer wear.
